A few bits of news

Daniel Johns and Luke Steele have titled their recent collaboration "Hathaway/Palmer" but still have no plans to release this "acoustic pop record".

Silverchair have been nominated for two Aria awards! One for Best Group and one for Best Music DVD, along with Powderfinger, for the Across the Great Divide DVD! :) Yay!

Daniel was featured in the Music Max documentary about the 2008 APRA Awards entitled "They Write The Songs".

Daniel Johns has won the APRA Songwriter of the Year award! Daniel is the first artist ever to have won this award three times! Straight Lines won the award for Song of the Year and also for Most Played Australian Work. Also included in this report: Silverchair hope to return to the studio next year!!! YAY!!!!!

Daniel Johns and Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson have been writing and recording songs together for the past few months but currently have no plans for a release.

Straight Lines has been nominated for the APRA Song of the Year award and also as Most Played Australian Work! Daniel has never won this award before, although he has won Songwriter of the Year twice. There are no nominees for that category so he could potentially capture that award again as well :) The 2008 APRA Music Awards will be in Sydney on June 16.
