It can be just a short review of the new album, a general introduction to the band, or if they're playing near you soon write about the upcoming concert, anything to tell the world how great SILVERCHAIR is!!!! It doesn't matter if you're a great writer or not, just do your best and submit it! They might print it, they might not, but you'll never know until you try!!!! If your article gets in, post a link to it here or scan it in and add it to the photos section!!!! Also, I think we should put up pics of us wearing all our silverchair merch and see who can wear the most stuff/pull it off the best!!!

Also being auctioned off is a framed Across the Great Divide tour poster with signed album covers from both Silverchair and Powderfinger. More info on chairpage.

ONE, that is the number for Young Modern, Straight Lines, and all of silverchair!!!! Fifth #1 album, the single #1 for 4 weeks and running, and silverchair the 1st band in Australia to have 5 #1 albums!!!!

Welcome!
Hello!
This is a spinoff of my global Facebook group "silverchair" that I will use to archive news. The news section on the Facebook group isn't really formatted to allow old news to remain available without having an enormously long group homepage. So I will be using this as a secondary news page.
Whenever I post news to the group on Facebook I will also post it here, so that this blog will always be up to date and available to everyone, whether or not you are on Facebook. However, I will now be able to delete old news faster from the group resulting in a more aesthetically pleasing/less overwhelming homepage while still allowing access to all previous news for those that may have missed out or wish to refresh their memories.
The benefit to my news page versus Silverchair's official website and MySpace is that I condense whatever news may be found there, providing extremely concise updates so that in just a few seconds you can be up to speed on everything Silverchair! I also post links to interviews, videos, press, etc. that may not necessarily be featured on chairpage but could still be of interest to fans. I like to think that this complements their official pages by allowing busy chair fans to quickly see what news is available and then, upon finding something of particular interest, peruse the official sites at their leisure. For example, you can check here daily to ensure you don't miss an important concert announcement, but if all that's new is a magazine article, you know that you can wait until the weekend to head over to the chairpage and read it.
