Daniel Johns has won the APRA Songwriter of the Year award! Daniel is the first artist ever to have won this award three times! Straight Lines won the award for Song of the Year and also for Most Played Australian Work. Also included in this report: Silverchair hope to return to the studio next year!!! YAY!!!!!

Straight Lines has been nominated for the APRA Song of the Year award and also as Most Played Australian Work! Daniel has never won this award before, although he has won Songwriter of the Year twice. There are no nominees for that category so he could potentially capture that award again as well :) The 2008 APRA Music Awards will be in Sydney on June 16.

The Screening for the Diorama Documentary in Toronto is on Saturday February 23rd at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) Theatre. Further Information will be posted and the the box office will open (www.ozflix.ca/) on February 1st.

Also, the Big Day Out shows are just getting started over in Australia where Silverchair will be performing live with a 12 piece band!!! AWESOME!
